Oh. My. Gosh. He hit his year mark!!! Go DREW!!! I was kind of stressing of what to do for him for his year mark. I wanted it to be more meaningful than just a box of treats. He had mentioned earlier to me that I should be proud of him for only using one towel for a year. For Drew, that is a major accomplishment. Before his mission I would go up to his room and find all the towels he had used throughout the week left on the floor. I think at one time they totaled 14!!!! I mean I guess I should be glad he was showering but really!! So for sure a fresh, clean, NEW towel was on the list. I also thought what a great time it would be with being the first of the year and goal setting in mind to focus on something that could remind him of perspective. I found a little book called, "Make Your Bed" written by the retired Seal Admiral. Reminding Drew of even a shift in our mindsets can change our outlook on life. And by doing those little things in life, it can really make a huge difference in our day to day happiness. I know he has mentioned that he still has a long way to go, like another full year, but I hope he will forever remember this..."Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come." Love you forever Drewby...one year down. One more amazing year to grow and learn and have even more experiences that you will never forget.

there she goooo... another couple weeks being a missionary! this new year has been good! i have set some exciting goals and i am stoked for my last year here in the TNM! #ohhhhhyes #cheehoo
some of my goals are..
finishing the bible (an essential thing out here in the bible belt)
keep working out every morning
read D&C
finish Saints
finish Jesus The Christ
eat healthy (not just cereal every meal)
etc
as you can tell i have alot of reading to do hahaha we will see how it goes. the work here in Murfreesboro is going so good! we are teaching a lady from Venezuela named Mariella, we had her on date for baptism but she hasn't been able to come to church due to sickness and work but we are hoping she can come along and be baptized!
I have had some interesting thing to eat here the past couple of weeks. my last email I sent a pic of the cow tongue I tried. the same family had me try mondongo de la vaca, when they first said that I was like "what in the world is that" so I throw it in my handy dandy translator and its says cow intestines/guts .............................. .......... it was NASTY hahahaha before I tried it I made a deal with them that they would come to church if I had some ;)
one thing I've been thinking and studying about alot recently is the value of patience and hopefulness. nowadays it's so easy to get whatever we want really quick with thanks to the internet and amazon hahaha but those things that take work and that we cant get fast sometimes we just give up on them. the same applies to the gospel. building testimony and understanding of doctrine or building a relationship with God takes work patience, hopefulness and work. it's sad to see so many people give up so easily, I myself am guilty of it in my past but I know by developing patience and having faith aka hoping for something better we can be overall happier and gain further light on things of eternal importance!
"most things that are hard are usually worth it"
I love yall so much and hope all is going muy bien.

the pic w the Asian looking dude is a Baptist missionary that knocked our apartment door. I let him in and we had a good bible discussion, he was super nice. we tried giving him a book of mormon but he politely refused but I friended him on FB so we will keep tryin hahaha
