This past week has been another awesome week of missionary work, the weather here is starting to warm up and it is so nice out now! the active members here are some of the best people i have ever met, my love grows for them the more i get to know them! My favorite family is the Leco familia they are a younger spanish family they have some brazy kids hahaha they are all so funny. They have us over for dinner alot and Judith makes the best food, i tell her how much i love her food and she just says stop lying hahaha. Another reason I love this family is that I can practice my spanish with them, that is kinda rare thing out here in Kentucky hahaha. Another member I love name is Mary she is african american and probably the most postive and euthsiastic people I have ever met! I dont mean to be rude when i say this but she is also very loud, i think it is so funny hhahah
Im getting more comfortable with tracting we are finding alot of people to teach and talk with but alot of people out here think "it doesnt matter what church you go to, as long as you go to church you will be saved" a bunch of people always tell us about this guy named "John Smith" and how he distorted the Bible. IDK who the heck John Smith is but apparently he was a pretty nasty guy. ;) that was a joke we correct these people telling them that his name was Joseph Smith and he did not distort the Bible hahaha I love my mission so much! I know everyone says this but I truly do, I have gained a perspective of how blessed I am to grow up into the church and I also get to see how the gospel changes lives.
Right now we are teaching a guy named David he is the coolest dude ever our last lesson with him was awesome cause he was so real with us. I truly love and care about him and i feel he has a sincere desire to change! Im so excited for his future. Southern hospitlity is so real even though we dont have the same beliefs people always tell us they respect what we are doing.
We knocked on this guys door his name is Larry he told us to come in and that we arent gonna convert him and he isnt convert us he just wanted to talk about the Bible and we got talking to him about our missions and how ive only been here for a little bit and he tolds us that he wants to take us to the Kentucky land between the lakes state park and buy us dinner and we happily accepted hahaha. We also talked about our beliefs and he told us that he had a twin brother that died when they were 18, we talked to him about the plan of salvation. He seemed intrigued by the idea that we can be with our families after this life, its crazy how many people dont even know about that! Anyways we gave him a book of mormon and invited him to read it specifically some chapters explaining the Plan of Salvation. He said he would and we go to follow up today im excited to talk with him about his reading!
Everyone is UK fans here i wanna get a kentucky jersey, everyones always talking about the upcoming march madness hahaha its the worst cuz i wont be able to watch but esta bien cuz i love my mission more than sports :) I find myself saying love so much when im writing in my journal or explaining my mission its so true I feel so much LOVE/happiness/gratitude for everything in my life. I know that it is because im living what im teaching and that is the gospel of jesus christ! The book of mormon is the most true book on this earth and it is the best way to become closer to god. I love and miss you all. I cant express in words how thankful i am for all of you. I love hearing how you all are doing :) ¡Hasta Luego!!
